We actually get a full-on flashback in this chapter, with a format based on the ones from Dark Secret and Escaping Peril. I wonder what really changed Turtle's behavior towards Peacemaker after that little talk? Hmmmm...
By the way, baby Peacemaker's reading struggles were based on me when I was really little. I did NOT do well with the transition from picture books to chapter books, and had to be put in a remedial class as a result. Oh, how times have changed.
