Was in a "red mood" and browsed Pinterest for some inspiration and came across a photo of a person with back tattoos of various eyes and mouths with sharp teeth, so naturally I wanted to do a body horror / creature where the eyes and mouth from the tattoos were an entire monstrous entity. Not to mention having the color of the character white but outlined in red (as well as the background) was a neat approach to this piece.
