It's literately just a term that used to be used in terms of being socially aware of racial prejudice/discrimination, until as of late where it's become a buzzword for the right wing relating to just about anything left-of-center or even left-of-right in social economics. Even to situations where it does not apply like this one. No one uses the term anymore in a positive or self-descriptive manner due to right wing pundits and their followers perverting the definition and making it into a buzzword.

People didn't watch it because it was getting woke. It turns people off. Also, "woke" does exist, or we wouldn't be talking about it. It refers to people who are too overly-zealous and ruthless with an agenda of political correctness. It's an offshoot of Social Justice Warriors, which were part of the PC(politically correct) movement in the mid-90s.

So you're telling me that it got cancelled because the "anti-woke" crowd were mad about the contents of it and cancel cultured it out of existence for what they perceived to be "woke" rhetoric? I feel like that's really ironic despite the lack of proof correlating that to the reason of low viewership, especially considering the factors that it died before due to low viewership and that they tried restarting it as a cable channel as we are balls deep in the era of streaming services. Tell yourself what you want to help your weird rhetoric, but the facts here are the facts and it isn't for a political reason like you're wishing for and making it out to be.

One thing I can agree with everyone is that we hate woke culture. It's destroyed a LOT.

There's a difference between cancellation and people not tuning in to watch. If something is cancelled, it means it's been blacklisted. No one was preventing others from watching, refusing to broadcast it, deplatforming it or trying to blacklist it any other way, so it's not a victim of cancel culture. The fact is, people didn't watch and part of the reason for at least some of them didn't watch was because they weren't interested in their preachy message. Which is why we say, "Get woke, go broke."

Got canned for too low of viewership. Don't know where all the "woke" rhetoric is coming from but both times the channel was canned, it was because people didn't watch the channel anymore. They probably should have tried more of a streaming service approach or teaming up with a streaming service provider. More than just Twitch and YouTube.

Despite the fact that viewership has been down for months, G4 died before due to low viewership, and nothing has shown any correlation nor causation that it's singlehandedly because of Frosk. You're mad about a random host that you disagree with. You should separate your opinions from the facts of the situation here.

The channel did have low viewership. Froskurrin's rant made it much worse.

The amount of subscribers going down the day after that train wreck of a rant kinda proves that. The next day when they had that live stream, they were blocking comments and banning people because they wanted to protect their "queen" (and not just people that criticized Froskurrin). Then G4 and Xplay switched channel names because the G4 brand was damaged enough (G4 having 520,000 subs instead of 530,000 and Xplay having about 130,000 subs at the time). And now here we are, 9 months later, Froskurrin and her "team" are mad and blaming "incels" because everybody took her advice (regardless if that rant was scripted or not). In that kind of business, you have to give the people what they want and not piss them off, otherwise you find yourself out on the street. Whether you want to believe it or not, whether you can accept it or not, that rant was their ultimate downfall.

Between this, Rings of Power, She-Hulk, Metaverse...everyone thinks they can mouth off an make junk an get away with it.
Sad.
