From Chapter 37: After matters have reached a fever pitch, with the Big Bad's corruption of the Sacred Pool allowing him to influence and manipulate all of the Valley's townsfolk into putting a framed Tai Lung on trial for Zhuang's murder, and after everything else--from Mei Ling, Tigress, and Shifu all working to explain the truth, provide alibis, or otherwise prove the snow leopard's innocence to actual combat--fails, the red panda realizes the only way to end the mob riot and save his son from hanging is by the mystical power in Oogway's repaired staff. With that, and a little off-screen help from Po, he breaks the villain's power and exorcises the dark chi in a most spectacular way.
