One of my absolute favorite acoustic Opeth songs. I actually was able to record this without any MAJOR mistakes. There are a couple of parts where I stumble, but I think I kept the over all tempo and steady continuation of the song down pretty well. Your thoughts?
Also, if anyone would happen to have some suggestions on how I could improve the sound quality I'd love to hear them. My mic always seems to have a little bit of white noise in the background, and it doesn't pick up bass very well. Should I just get a new mic, or are there editing techniques that I can use instead?

Wow. That's very well done. You did a nice job here.
If I may suggest I always used a lightweight sock as a pop-filter, it does nice to remove little scratch noises here than there. You may have to screw with it for a while, but it does work somewhat in a pinch on a budget.

Wow, very well done. Just sub in the singers voice and you almost wouldn't be able to tell that it's the actual song.
Personally I really don't notice that much background noise and the guitar is pretty clear, although there is a little bit of bass loss. Sounds fine to me coming through Creative S700's.
Also on a final note, Opeth is sooo awesome, props for doing a cover. Now you just need to do a mashup of some of the different guitar parts of Windowpane.
