The Whispering Basket cover final
Finished cover for the book "The Whispering Basket" which will be released on Amazon sometime in the near future. I will link when it's published =) It is a book of Native American poetry.
I was thrilled with how this came out. With only the outlines in ink, this is my first real watercolor painting. No white ink was used to produce the effects, that's entirely the paper. The planets was where some of the techniques I've been practicing really got to shine!
I'm not so much a fan of how many elements are in the picture, but that was at the commissioner's request. The composition is a bit busy, but I still like it.
I should do more turtles...this one's not half bad!
