Thanks for the correction - I fixed the description.
As for the recolor, the old one was a gif, so it was reduced to under 255 colors. There was some dithering on the foreground, giving rise to pixel-scale freckles. This version is a jpeg, so it can be full color. Both were reduced from a full-color GIMP .xcf file.
