Good evening. I'm Patrick Altair, and I've my wife Cassie with me.
We're a pair of red-tail hawk anthros from different versions of earth who met through circumstance and married.
I'm from what is sometimes referred to as "Winds of Change" earth, where significant biological warfare resulted in a changed history from the earth you may know, eventually leading to people becoming anthros at puberty as they grow. I can turn into a mostly-human form, or a normal redtail, but I spend most of my time as a anthro hawk with wing arms. I also can talk with birds of prey, and pass through solid objects while focusing.
My wife Cassie is from a different world, more similar to what you know, but she can turn into a human, an anthrohawk with back wings, or a bottlenose dolphin. Three forms, as common to people from her world. She also has some skill at magical healing, and uses it to good use in a local hospital.
We met through inadvertent, unwilling dimensional travel, but we both found comfort in each other's arms and have carved out a life together.
We're here to answer questions you might have about us, or in general about our worlds. If a question is specific to one of us, let us know.
We'll be ready for the next week. Go ahead.

We use a lot of vocal communications. I didn't change until 2002, which was 6 years after the adjustments started being made. Touchscreens are harder for me to use, but I can't complain given the benefits I get of having a flight computer. The phasing isn't a problem at all, since that requires active concentration to start and maintain.
Unusual? Temporal echo, Kinetic Shield, Induce Norm Shift, Jinx, Technomancery, and Replay are probably the weirdest I know of.
Temporal Echo is useful for finding out events in the past via feelings.
Kinetic Shield/Blast are basically what they sound like, as is Induce Norm Shift.
Jinx just makes things go haywire.
Technomancery allows communication with machines and a degree of technical control that is, frankly, astounding.
Replay allows a rewind of time. That's easily one of the rarest, even though the scale is in minutes among the most powerful. Very powerful.

I don't know the specifics of the treating process, other than they get someone with Nullify power, which can block others from using their powers, and infuse the paint with it somehow. The paint then basically becomes immune to direct power usage, which thereby protects whatever you cover with it. I understand this can be done with some other objects, but paint is easiest to get, probably because people have a vested interest in, say, a phaser not walking into their house while they're asleep and running off with stuff.
Pat: "As someone with degree control, if that's necessary, I'll usually shift the flight surfaces away if I need to do something like that. It's definitely a problem if I can't for some reason and need to reach into a box or something. That said, given the high variance of morphs, voice controls on my world are much more advanced than on yours, since no keyboard can be useful to everyone. I had to relearn to type in anthro, since I have only four fingers like that instead of five! And no, I can't make part of myself intangible; it's all or nothing. Yes, I keep my clothing and closely attuned items like my wedding ring when I go.
Pat: "I'm not familiar with this series."
Cassie: "Berenstain Bears are a series of childrens books. Maybe the author didn't do the same thing in your verse?"
Pat: "That's totally possible. My world population is half of yours, so a lot of different things have happened since the Plague war."

For Patrick, have you ever considered being a spy? The ability to phase through walls would lend itself very handy for espionage missions to retrieve physical information, and being able to assume a "normal redtail" form might allow you to lay low for a bit after retrieving the abovementioned information.
When I was younger, I had dreams and fantasies about that, but largely discarded them as I got older for many reasons. I'm not mentally ready to kill people as the job might demand, nor am I that good at the thought processes necessary in that realm.
Phasing can be blocked by nullified paint, and anybody who has anything worth protecting will have that in spades; it's legal for civilian purchase, even. As for shifting, approximately 60% of the population on my world can Norm-Shift, so it's not really a surprise you can use to your advantage.
And that's before you get into the weird powers like Jinx, Temporal Echo, or Replay, which I'd assume are highly sought after by people like that.
I've used the powers occasionally in situations I needed to in that way, but I'm never going to make a profession out of it.

Pat: Yes, broke my shoulder blade on a playground as a child, before I Changed. Though honestly? It wasn't that bad overall, compared to some other injuries.
Cassie: That doesn't mean you should like it! I had an early flying accident; bird bones at least knit quickly, so I recovered fast, but once the cast was on, I had to stay in the same shape for a while while it did. That was perhaps the most challenging part, having to get used to having the wings hanging off my back as they healed.

So I'm just a simple reality mechanic of a gryphon... I've got to ask since "inadvertent, unwilling dimensional travel" sounds like something went wrong.
How did you meet again? Did someone break a wormhole or gate? Or was this a naturally occurring rift? Do these two universes wish to have continued travel?
Don't mind me, just filling out the work order...

<Patrick> We both got, by random chance, taken to a third reality, which bridges between both of ours (and many others) at random points, though rarely both simultaneously. As far as either of us know, we're simply missing on our original worlds.
<Cassie> We met socially at a later time once we were both occupying the same reality. As far as we know, it's naturally occurring for people to get bridged over on occasion, but getting back is significantly harder.
<Patrick> I don't know it'd be practical for either of our worlds to know about this, or even if it'd be a good thing, given the Plague on my world. Don't want to take that elsewhere.

Merv ticks off some notes. "Incidental, nascent natural rift, nope... gonna quarantine that." The happy kestrel gryphon puts away the orb and leaves a couple coupons for spatial chicken hut. "Thanks for the survey! You two love birds have a happy life!" Merv pops out via a small little portal rift.
