It's the concept of Imatsu's personal weaponry. The blades are on a temperature release hinge that swings them to a backhanded wielding position. In said hinge there is an small container of a thick, napalm-like accelerant that is sprayed along the blade from a pressurized nozzle, at the same time a small steel strikes a flint and sends sparks along the blade to ignite them as he fights.
