Cropped preview pic because !!!SPOILER!!! Hayate dies and becomes a ghost.

Probably one of my oldest character designs which has gone unchanged. The yellow part bound to his abdomen is like a mechanical rope which can detach (rarely does, more like a secret weapon). Designing the dead colors was very interesting, with how I wanted the metal to look both oxidized and ethereal. Overall I am quite happy with how he looks.

Despite the fact that he's canonically dead, it's not like a "perma" situation outside of the storyline. He can be drawn either alive or ghostly.
