Something I've been working on with my spare time is making a boxing game in Unity with the demon guys. I'm planning on having their goofy mugs reflect the amount of punishment they've taken, and here's an example of that with Phil. The more beat-up the fighter looks, the harder it will be for them to get back up after being knocked down.
