This is a type of mutation in some herd animals. It manifests itself since childhood. In some creatures, parts of the blood vessels and digestive system protrude outside their bodies. These parts are much stronger to prevent accidental damage. In moments of danger, these animals are driven out of the herd and take predators far behind them, as they smell much stronger than their congeners. They never have horns (so as not to injure themselves) and therefore cannot defend themselves in any way. Ironically, they are much healthier and cleaner. Their meat is incredibly tender. According to one version, this is where the legend of the lamb being sacrificed to predators came from.
