Early Art (or how I sucked)
I've been asked a lot how long I've been drawing. I'm not sure- does drawing on Peechees in class count? (10 points to anyone who remembers what a peechee is) How many tanks and jet fighters dropping bombs on that skier or the basketball player or threatening to take out the ski lift or- yeah.
Okay, I really only count my 'furry' drawing period in 1994 when I discovered the fandom. Before that I was really drawing mechanical things. I couldn't draw a person to save my life. Discovering furries, I tried it and I liked drawing the critters. Boy was my early art rough. I kept at it and there was a lot of support with friends online and in fanzines. I kept at it and eventually I was able to get more competant.
These days I'm fairly confident that what I attempt to draw will probably turn out okay. Note that I said fairly confident. I've got a pile of loose sketches that didn't turn out, but I consider every sketch to be practice for the one that follows. Never focus too much on one picture or you'll fixate on it and never advance. Don't like the way a hand is turning out? Fine, draw what you cana and move on. The next time you draw a hand, try it a bit differently. A drawing shouldn't suffer the fate of never being complete because you can't get over some detail.
Anyways, I keep my old sketchbooks around and show them off to people who look at my current stuff and go on about how they could never get to be good. Oh yes, we all started someplace. This is one of the *better* pictures of 1994. I think I've got some Neopaint color pics online that still make my eyes bleed. I'll have to see if I can dig those up for your viewing horror. :)

It's amazing to me to think that the furry fandom was even around back then. I was still a pup in '94. I've been in the fandom for a few years now, it's still kinda new to me. XD
But, seems you turned into quite an amazing furry artist. I really love your art, and wish I could draw that well. XD Keep it up. ^^
