I'm using fanart to experiment and discover where my style wants to go. This is a sketch of Zee (zeekayart, who I am too anxious to tag or even notify) for a small oil portrait WIP.

I'm currently inspired by Cassandra L. Kim's animal portraits (I'm a sucker for historical garb) but want to find a way to mesh a bit of that realism with my more illustrative style.

I have terrible memories of wearing these tracksuits in elementary and middle school because that's what my family gave me, and the thought of the noise it makes while having to get up and sharpen my pencil is absolute squick. At least paint can't make that sound!
