"Why did you teach her this?" Tiffany's father demanded. "Look what she's done to her babysitter!"
In Tiffany's mother's lap, the toad croaked mournfully. Frau Hildegarde sniffed with disdain.
"You asked me to teach Tiffany witchcraft and I am doing so. If you disagree with my methods, you're welcome to find someone else."
Tiffany's father fumed. "I paid you to teach her some useful magic, not this! This is going to be nothing but trouble for us!"
"Useful magic?" Fraud Hildegarde sneered. "Like, say, mind control, to make your boss give you a promotion and your business partners better deals? Or destructive magics so you could sabotage your competitors?"
"H-hey, now!" He stuttered.
"Or perhaps the power to manipulate chance so your trips to Las Vegas aren't so costly?"
Tiffany's mother eyed him sideways, wondering if Hildegarde was telling the truth, but too scared to speak up.
"You can't-!"
Frau Hildegarde raised one finger and he stopped. An unpleasant tingle coursed through his body.
"*You* shouldn't raise your voice to me. After all, there are much worse things than being a toad. A worm, for example?"
Trembling, Tiffany's father stammered out, "I am paying you . . ."
"And you think your money means I must show you respect? If money mattered, consider that I have far more than you. What I also have far more of than you is *power*! You will show *me* the respect that deserves."
Tiffany's father seethed in silence.
"But what about poor Judy?" Tiffany's mother asked, holding up the toad.
With a disgusted sigh, Frau Hildegarde twirled her fingers and spoke a single word. Trails of purple sparks circled the toad, pulling it from Tiffany's motther's grasp. It floated in the air for a few moments, croaking in panic, before bloating up like a balloon, changing back into a teenaged girl with a pop. Judy thudded to the ground.
"She can go home," Frau Hildegarde said. "Though, she had better keep quiet about what happened here today, or I might just decide that a toad is a more appropriate shape for her."
Judy shivered, but rose to her feet, dusting herself off, and did her best to curtsy without a skirt. "Thank you, Mrs. Hildegarde."
"Frau Hildegarde, if you please."
"Thank you, Frau Hildegarde. I won't tell anyone, I promise."
Frau Hildegarde smiled her approval. It was pleasant and disarming.
"There's a good girl. Perhaps I should reward your obedience."
"You don't have to," said Judy.
"Nevertheless, if you keep this a secret, you may find one coming to you in the future. Now go."
Judy curtsied again and left, still patting herself down to make sure she was completely human again. When she was gone, Fraud Hildegarde turned an icy glare on Tiffany's parents.
"A carrot and a stick; a useful strategy for getting what you want, don't you think?"
Tiffany's father loosened his tie - it felt too much like a noose around his neck. "We can't have Tiffany going around turning people into frogs," he said.
"It's my job to teach her witchcraft," answered Frau Hildegarde. "Teaching her proper behavior is the responsibility of her parents. If Tiffany needs discipline, then maybe you should consider actually being her parents."
"But-" Tiffany's mother began.
"That is all," said Frau Hildegarde. "Roger, escort these two off the premises."

From the large window of her bedroom, Frau Hildegarde watched Tiffany's parents leave, smiling to herself. A few minutes later, Roger returned.
"They've gone, Frau Hildegarde."
"Yes, I can see."
Roger cleared his throat nervously. "Madam, you know that as soon as those two try to confront Tiffany . . ."
"Of course, I do," she snapped. "I can think of no two people who deserve to be frogs more than that self-absorbed buffoon and his air-head socialite wife. My only regret is that I won't be the one to do it. I'll just have to imagine the looks on their faces as their humanity is taken from them."
"And what then, Madam?"
Frau Hildegarde turned and crossed the room to sit at her writing desk. She opened her diary and began to write in it.
"Then?" She chortled. "Then, Roger, Tiffany will be completely under my control. If Tiffany is going to inherent my fortune and all my magical secrets, then I need to make sure that she's properly trained. She must be a proper witch - and a proper lady."
"Very good, Madam."
Frau Hildegarde smiled as her pen scritched across the page. "Yes. Very good, indeed."

So, teaching a young girl with a temper and poor impulse control how to turn people into frogs wasn't just an irresponsible move, but part of Frau Hildegarde's evil plan? What a shock. Who could have guessed that the woman who dressed like the evil queen from Snow White and has a reputation among all the children for being a wicked witch was, in fact, a wicked witch? That's so unexpected!
And how does confronting Tiffany go for her parents? Exactly how Frau Hildegarde predicted: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44063825/
And now we're caught up to the first Tiffany pic that I completed last witchtober. One more pic to go before we've got her status quo fully set up. That's coming next week. Feel free to hype yourselves up for it.
