Basil -or a part of him- catches Adara off guard after she finishes washing her hands. Vengeful is a bit less subtle than Basil, and a lot more confident. He sees her as beautiful, and likely has some fractured memory of Jezebel who bore a very similar appearance to Adara. Adara is surprised, but doesn't recoil so much as turn red. V's terrible at flirting, but Basil is very mentally delayed and uneducated as well.
