It was a great day for a parade through Caro, Michigan! As luck was with us, the veteran's organizations insisted that our entry and our color guard take the lead in the parade lineup. So we got on the route right behind the fire trucks. Even before the parade began, there were requests for Rocket to pose for photos.

A parking area of an abandoned laundromat was a half-block from our starting position. It was a good spot to suit up. Though we bring our own supplies, one of the staff was thoughtful enough to provide a small Gatorade--chilled. Once on the parade route, we noticed many people observed proper flag etiquette along the way. This was a good crowd. Every time I tried balancing my rocket prop on my muzzle, there were cheers!
My spotter, a newly-minted CAP senior member, was warned that I often get dogs to bark at me as we march along. There were several attempts, but few takers. There was that German Shepherd who responded with vigor! It got a good laugh from everyone. It was my fourteenth appearance in the pumpkin festival parade.

The building in the background is a local family restaurant. I was treated to dinner there after the parade ended.
