The first doodle of my "Six Species" meme. Not a lot of traction, but I did get a handful of prompts for my fursona.
Bull...is not an animal I like. ^_^;;; I feel that in our media, Bulls are just big and angry. They make great antagonists, literal Bull-ies, but not much else. So I really struggled to think of something interesting for Bull!Rigel. I racked me brain for all things Bulls have been used in media and culture.
My first thought was as a Matador-a literal bull fighter. But, uh, no. While the irony was funny, it just didn't stick with me.
Then I thought of the Golden Calf, the false idol in Christianity. Not quite, but it did get me in the direction. Rome. Greek. Minotaur.
I'd imagine this Rigel to be more heroic than the Pig & Lion. Inspired by the Demi-God Heracles, Rigel would wear his symbol (it's a club; Heracles' symbols also include a bow (which does require a lot of strength to use, despite what media tells us) and a lion, but neither really fit what I was going for) and try to become a hero in his own right, with his own strength. I'd imagine that in whatever verse this is happening, that Rigel would be seen as a monster because of Minos (aka the OG Minotaur), but Rigel is determined to rise above such angry leers. Because a hero doesn't do it for the fame!
(lol, I fucked up that fist. Oh well.)
