A bit of digging in my archives turned up this piece--the very, very first drawing of Terra, as done by  DracoJeff, back in the day. We'd been getting to know each other and I revealed that I had no fursona, but that I was going to go with some kind of shapeshifter, due to my mercurial personality. I also wanted his "natural" guise to be something lupine, as I've always been a fan of the canine group of critters. As you can see, things have come a long way since then, for both of us.

That said, it's been rare that I've been able to get artists to do a good job in making markings on Terra, kinda like the things you see here...it's a look I like on Terra, but people tend to just paste one or two on and call it a day. I think I prefer a more thorough treatment, overall, and it might well be because of this image right here...
