The top vents in particular, alongside the small vent within the "crown" are partially used to feed air to 2 mini jet engines located within the planes wings. Those engines can be used for VTOL manouvers such as vertical takeoff/landing, though skillfull usage of them can enable greater turning capabilities. A version without the "crown" and VTOL engines may be employed for sale to other countries or private military organizations, with the VTOL technology staying in the homecountry.
