Poor Nur, he quickly learned that cleaning his weapons right next to the pinata his little siblings Arra (left) and Serith (right) were playing with was not the smartest move. Hopefully the hit was not too bad. :P
The two kittens absolutely adore him and really look up to him, they'll probably bring him small gifts for days to make amends.
For the record, Nur had an older brother, a twin, a younger teen sister, and 5 smaller siblings. His twin and 2 of the small ones have died so far due to war in the first case, and infant mortality for the other two. Nur's society often practices polygamy, so he has two moms, who are currently coddling him to no end after he returned from the war missing half his face. His dad also died during the war, just like his twin brother. Overall, the family has seen better days.

Those micro guns if they were ever really used were more for women to carry hidden, but they had so little power that you had to be inches away from your enemy for that gun to do any real damage. I have seen versions of micro pistols in the form of huge rings for your fingers designed so that when you punch, the ring-gun triggers and fires as you hit with your fist. But all this rather already almost in the 20th century, but your world seems to be barely in the 16th century.
