A pair of protogens cloned from the same template, Anatera and Axeliar were captured and subjected to a virus that slightly corrupted their programming and made them more aggressive (and more hungry). Now they roam the universe looking for fun things to do and tasty people to eat. They may look almost the same, but they consider each other friends, as opposed to actual siblings or anything. For convenience's sake, I'll call them the "proto twins", but they are not related in any way (due to how the process of protogen creation works).

Anatera is female, and Axeliar is male.
