In my stream you can redeem a prompt that triggers a set of random art prompts with my characters. I have to draw one of them. DarkCameronMac triggered it and picked "Sunset and Scarecrow in their apocalypse gear" and it kinda developed into a different idea entirely.

Best summarized in an answer I gave a friend:
So this actually is a sad story. They're not really two who can ever meet. Just because of what they do and such. Sunsets an affinity demon, and her affinity is human desire and changing said desire. Once that affinity disappears, she doesn't exist anymore. Just... Poof.
Scarecrow exists in a place devoid of anything. Pure white/black. Specifically it's a farm where people kinda "exist" at while they're dealing with extreme trauma in their life. If there's no people to maintain that place, then it kinda stops existing. Like the concept of Hogwarts stops existing if you get rid of the books and everyone who knew of it. If there's no collective consciousness to maintain it, the place just stops.
So it's less two friends, and more two people realizing they're at the end of their life. Comfort in that.
