There's really not much to say about this one this is probably when I went crazy with all of the things I could do with Photoshop at the time and I'm actually quite proud of myself for many of the assets that I managed to not only replicate but reuse in future pages...
That all said, I'm not all that good at creating original background characters to make the world feel more "lived in". Heck, I actually have a small story and details for each of the characters you'll see, but for the life of me, I can't remember them all... Mostly because I want you to fill in the blanks yourselves.... AND NO VORE!!! Despite there are some mysterious magical events in the world of Calypsia, that simply ain't one of them.
So why did I draw a wolf dating a sheep? Because I thought it'd be cute. Is there really any other reason to do it?
(Any and all similarities to a certain "Prety Cure/Glitter Force" character(s) will be ignored and ridiculed. You have been warned.)

No, I mean that I literally cannot confirm nor deny it. I didn't think of designing an owner, only like one waitress and one...er two other customers. The place is obviously owned by a furry, but even then, not necessarily as humans CAN exist in this world. They're just... kind of rare at this point in the timeline.
Now, if we were talking about the china shop next door though.....
Now, if we were talking about the china shop next door though.....
I made a whole timeline for the slow gradual inevitable transition from human run, to anthro run. Never allowing a time where the two didn't exist at all since the very start of the timeline (a point I dubbed "The Great Collapse"). Guess you can think of my world as a sort of combination between the anime Big O and Furthia High when it comes to those parts. However, there's also one other feature about Calypsia that I'm debating on whether or not I should include it (albeit, very mildly) into the MMW story. The concept of "Natures" (think of it like magic mutant powers. Technically everyone in Calypsia has them, but very few would be close to My Hero Academia, let alone X-Men levels. Most spend their entire lives without discovering what their Natures are.). Already decided on Roger's, but again, not sure if it should play a role or not. Won't change the main story either way. Alex would never figure his out and only one other character would show theirs.
Not familiar with Big O or Furthia High.
But I can see the analogy with My Hero Academia since at least some quirks don’t exactly lend themselves to superheroing like with Midoriya’s mother.
The idea reminds me a bit the setting I came up with. All living things have magic in them, but most don’t have it in a tangible or useable form.

To put the BigO inspiration simply, there was an unknown event that caused the entire world to instantly lose all of their memories. (There's also a ton of Detective Noir and a giant robot monster fights, but that's beside the point.)
Surprised you don't know about Furthia High, it was one of the first comics I ever found and it was made by
QuetzaDrake. Then again, that was a loooong time ago.
MHA Exactly. Most of the time Natures are extremely obscure and can even be detrimental to the Furry. Like one Salamander character I made who has a type of "fire" nature called "Rekindling", however, because he's a salamander and his actual affinity is water, this actually dries him out if he uses it too much.
There is a fighting league though. So for Furries who's natures are a tad more Useful and/or dangerous. Mind you, I had this idea LOOOOONG before MyHero was an idea in its creator's dreams. (Seriously, my first few stories were set in Calypsia over 11 years ago.)
The way you put it is about as accurate as it can get. Mind you there is a methodology to know the "affinity" of your Nature (I stupidly also called this "nature"). Most don't bother, but if you do it may help you discover what your ability might be.... sometimes.
For the record (Rusty's)My Nature is exclusively "Vector"(wind/air), where as my abilities are Double Take, Borrowed Power and Hypnotic Immunity. None of which has anything to do with "wind", but there are other ways to use your "Nature" such as the three... I guess you could call them "spells" that every person can use (albeit a different affinity depending on what you've got). "Barrier" "Burst" and "Domination" Barriers are just what they sound like. Burst is a blast of Pure Nature (energyball). And Domination is the ultimate attack unique to each (affinity)Nature. Where you use up all the energy you've got to create a space where your element is supreme for a few seconds. So for example Aqua would make a sphere of highly presurized water, Vector would create a space of pure winds (also a speed boost, but you can't breath), but the most devistating "Domination" is the Nega which creates a space of... "nothingness".
.... Sorry, I really can't help it. I spent half a decade working on this "magic system", so I tend to get a little overly excited to share it.

Yeah, I haven’t actually read a lot of furry webcomics. Heck, even for the time I followed The Whiteboard, I was introduced by a non-furry friend.
I’m guessing the method of learning your Nature is somehow troublesome and/or dangerous?
And no need to apologize. It’s fun when people are enthusiastic about things like this. I wish I’d actually gotten some actual stories down about my own setting which I’ve had vaguely floating around for about 15 years.

I get it. Had discovered fury stuff on my own for the longest time.
Nah, just... Okay "affinity" is a simple test. I'd say no different than a trip to the doctor (for the equipment and controled environment), but otherwise it all sort of comes naturally (no pun intended). Most normal people have a mix of all 8, but the "purer" your Nature(affinity) the stronger it is. So, for example, a pure Vector Nature is always stronger than a "Dynamic" (dual) Nature such as Vector&Aqua There's also "Triple Threats" (3 Natures (affinity)) and "Quadro Power" but there are only two of those that are "active" (also called O'Natural (a Dust, Vector, Aqua, Hi combination) and Refined (a combination of Mech, Rai, Nega, Ganic).) Any other combination of 4 or more Natures(affinity) are essentially "duds" or "normal people".
Now Nature (ability) is more like discovering you can bend your elbow backwards, or bulge your eyes out of your head. It's not so much that it's dangerous (which it most certainly can be) it's the fact that there is no traditional "test" or equipment that can tell you anything. Abilities are practically random, some require specific "triggers" (like a sort of muscle twitch, like wiggling your nose. Once you know, you know.) while others are automatic and are triggered by something outside of your control OR are always stuck in the "on" position.
For that salamander character (as an example), he can "relight" fires by snapping his fingers and even control them to an extent, but he can't make flames on his own. That's a Trigger type. Most likely he discovered this ability by pure accident, snapping his fingers near a recently unlit candle or even a campfire.
My (Rusty's) hypnotic immunity is an Automatic type. I can't turn it off even if I wanted to. (admittedly, sometimes I do... :P ) I simply cannot under any means be hypnotized or brainwashed.
I started with something similar to that sort of setting (I described it like Dimension Hopping Quantum Leap), but decided it best to stick with one world per character/story. I simply cannot handle a "Tsubasa" (xxxHolic) type story. One world is hard enough to create. Whatever you decide to do, I think it can be great. (Edit: Good advice I heard recently.... Ehem "You can always proofread and edit and rewrite any story, but you cannot do that with a blank page. So, it doesn't matter what you start with so long as you start with something, even a bad idea."... does that make sense to you? If it does, hope it helps.)

So more mixed nature “dilutes” power?
Ugh, I’m reading about eutectic systems, where adding components lowers the melting temperature. So I’m mixing those ideas up. Yes my brain works that way.
As to interworld stuff, there’s stuff like trade between a medieval magical fantasy world with a steampunk world, resulting in the two becoming more similar over time.
But yeah, mental energy as been low lately.

Well, each Nature Affinity reacts to the others (even inside each individual). It is similar to Smelting, yes. It's not so much diluting as it is that there is an imbalance going on. This is also why the two "True" Quadro Powers are probably as strong as Pure Natures. It's just instead of Power, their strength is in versatility. However, they're only that way because the four affinities sort of both "weaken" and "empower" each other evenly.
For example: Hi and Aqua are polar opposites of each other. They both Strengthen and Weaken each other evenly thus Negate any negatives, but gain no positives either. (Think of it as a Dragon Type Pokemon attacking another Dragon Type.) A Dynamic with those affinities are stronger than a Ganic and Hi Dynamic because the Hi energy weakens the Ganic energy. However, the Ganic energy also Empowers Hi energy, thus despite being a Dynamic, they're stronger with Hi Natured abilities than Ganic natured, despite having an affinity for both.
Mind you, both Dynamics are weaker than any Pure affinity.
So your multiworld system is sort of like Cardfight Buddyfight's Flags/Worlds system. Or maybe treated like they're different planets that just so happen to have a Stargate like link to each other.
Mental Energy, I blame the lockdowns. For me, I may need my "alone time" to recharge, but too much drains me too. I also need people to bounce off of. Takes a while for me to get started now-a-days.

So it’s a sort of some Natures being more compatible and, given a random selection, the more mixed you are, the more likely it is that something won’t work out.
I haven’t seen Cardfight Buddyfight, but I suppose it’s somewhere between Stargate and airport connections since not all worlds are connected directly.
I’ll say lockdowns, some mental gunk from beforehand, and more recent stuff with a possible new job.

Bingo! The same goes for Abilities VS Affinities. Pyrokinesis is a heck lot easier to do when you have a Hi Nature rather than a Nega Nature. however, you'll be less likely to be burned due to the very (lack of a better word) nature of the Nega Nature. And conversely if you have a Ganic Nature, you're more likely to burn yourself as the fire you "control" can become hotter without warning. (Yes, I made my own elements, don't be fooled "Hi" (pronounced "he" because it's Japanese) can involve/include fire, but it is not the Nature OF Fire.)
All in all, the 8 Natures are one big wheel of which ones are better and worse than which.
(Buddyfight) Good, I do not recommend it as a drinking game (Take a drink every time someone says the word "Buddy")... You'll be dead before they play the first game (to be fair, it doesn't happen until the second episode, but that's still impressive). However, it was a simpler Yugioh substitute, it's quite fun watch, for me at least.
(As for the rest) Same. Except for the new job thing, you lucky foxy.
