Yeah, SatAM was/STILL IS awesome. I'm glad I got the entire series on DVD. Best Sonic-related TV show EVER.
Now that you mention, I agree: it DOES sound pretty Smash Bros.-y, though it could probably use a lit more finesse and such for a really good stab at that style of music.
