This is an combat ready replica of an 12th century Medieval Sword and it was hand made/forged by DarkSword Armory (http://www.darksword-armory.com) and came with a hand made wood and leather scabbard (sheath).
The blade shows the Latin inscription "Militaris Templi" which means "Knights Templar". It's sharpened and polished to a mirror finish.

It measure 46.5" and it weight almost 5 lbs. Unlike sword available in stores, this one is made of high carbon steel and has been heavily tempered :p if must be kept oiled to prevent oxidation...again, it's not made of stainless steel or alloy and can be used just like a real one, not just as a decoration. decorative "sword like object" should never be swung around or used to hit any object, they are extremely prone to breaking
