You mentioned a crew member of Michel's ship in the short story who had a peg-leg (the cook as far as I can recall). And if there's a one-eyed pirate and a pirate with a hook in the story I assume that at least one pirate appears to have a wooden leg. =)
Oh well, I just guessed. Peg legs are typical for pirates - as you can see our Captain Silver's disfigured the same way. ;)
