Loretta was a fair and kind hearted princess that was set to rule over the Seafoam Isles the moment she married a prince and became queen. She had fair pale skin, eyes as green as the North Atlantic coasts, curly black hair, and an infectious smile. Loretta was well liked by her subjects, despite being snobbish at times. One day, she discovered that an ancient sea witch was trying to usurp her kingdom.
After casting her out, life went on as usual. That is, until the day she finally received a letter from an interested Prince. She held a celebration to commemorate the moment, and as tradition, she’d stand at the edge of the castle’s main ballroom balcony and drink half a glass of wine, and dump the rest into the sea. However, while guards were unawares, the witch ride from the depths and stopped a dissolving dragon scale into the glass.
Minutes later, she drank it in front of the guests. However, as the crowd cheered, dark clouds billowed above them. Loretta burped loudly before she dropped her glass and clutched at her stomach. She felt something was wrong as suddenly, her gut expanded out, bloating and making unnervingly deep sounds. As she tried to push against her growing body, begging for help, a big thick tail ripped out from the backside of her dress. Her height increased three times and more, with her scaly belly dominating her now massive frame. Her hands extended into sharp claws, and her three toed feet burst out from her heels. Her green dress completely ripped to shreds. Her transformation ended with her face elongating into a tooth filled muzzle with a horn at the end. She roared at the stormy sky and fell off the balcony in her disoriented state.
Loretta woke up hours later on the best of a nearby island. She panicked and wept for hours, trapped in a fat, beastly body she didn’t recognize and unable to speak in her voice. She was alone, very hungry, scared, and confused for days as she came to terms with what was happening. By the time she finally left on her own and tracked down a sorcerer, it was too late. After using sign and body language to get the old sailor mage to figure why she was bothering him, he reported that the three day period in where she could break the curse had passed. The dragon who’s soul she unwittingly devoured had attached permanently to her own. Her human body couldn’t be recovered anymore.
Loretta was utterly devastated by the news, and cried more than she ever had in her life. However, all was not lost. The Kate was experienced enough to at least recover her voice. Armed with her words, she thanked the old sailer mage and returned home, reclaiming her throne. Nobody dared to deny her of course, and with a few changes made to the castle to accommodate her immense size, Loretta soon became the first riling dragon queen of a northern land. As it turned out, the prince was even more interested after finding out of her situation. Funny how things work out…
As for the witch that did this to her, some say that she tried to stop Loretta on her journey back home, only to end up as the Princess’ meal instead. Nobody quite knows for sure, but if asked, Loretta will only smirk, pick her teeth, and chuckle.
“Don’t worry about that old hug, darling. I don’t think we’ll be hearing from her again…~”

This was an amazing adoptable that I received from one LazKobold. Big thanks to them for providing, and helping me out with forming this new character’s backstory! I hope you like!

Wow, this character certainly had some twists and turns in her life especially when she was turned into that dragon by that spiteful witch but I'm just glad it was able to all work out for her in the end including the part where she managed to get a meal out of it as well if that was truly the fate of that hag witch in the end of course!
I hope you plan to show this character more often in your gallery here and there every now and again, whether it's either just with a story and/or description below the piece of art you make of her or if you were perhaps planning to show her in some kind of comic scene or series I'm sure that will be just as equally exciting and interesting as is her backstory here that you've just shown and revealed now.
