Kumandra had been at piece, as harmonious as it could be since the dragons were taken away from the humans who worshipped them half a millennium ago. But now, the Druun were gone, hopefully for good. The tensely divided people of the land could at the very least unite in the fact that nobody was stuck in stone anymore, and that the dragons were back, thanks to Raya and her allies. Not all was sunshine and rainbows of course. There are many who still hold a grudge against Fang for their part in the Druun’s return, and even a few dragons shared this view. Others would rather let bygones be bygones, Sisudatu being chief among them.
A year had gone by since her big adventure with her new best friend, and life had been just grand for the once powerless blue dragoness. As a result of her succession in bringing her king back from the brink, she was allowed to keep portions of her sibling’s magic. She was also welcomed into the home of Raya and Chief Benja. Sisu spent much of her time in her human form, to the point that it became her second skin, and what she used most often while indoors. However, another trend began in Kumandra that caught her eye, thst would see the dragoness expanding her horizons…and her waistline.
Sisu walked slowly down the stone bridge, a slight sway in her step. Waddling about her new home in human form wasn’t easy. Her back ached something awful, her ankles were sore, and most of all, her belly felt like it would burst like a bubble any second. She reached the edge of the bridge, having made her way over the spot where Benja was stoned 7 and a half years ago. The humanized dragon huffed, making sure her posture was straight as she rubbed around her back. She used her free hand to brush through her soft, water colored locks as she stared out into the jungle. She was expecting someone, and it wasn’t just the two children growing within her.
It all began with hearing about the “Baby Boom” that was taking place in Kumandra. Humans were taking the chance they had with the Druun gone to increase their number, and dragons began to follow suit. However, what dragons had no mates, and even the biologically male dragons began to use another method of creating life. After a long talk with her siblings and Benja, Sisu retreated up to the old dragon gem chamber. There, she formed a dragon gem with half of her magic. With a deep breath and a silent prayer, she popped the little crustal into her gullet, and swallowed. Once she saw the glow in her lower belly, she knew there was no going back. She was going to be a mother. While she was very nervous, she knew she had to trust in her own body and those close to her in order to come out of this in the best condition powerful.
It was a secret hard to keep from Raya. She wanted nothing more than for the young woman to finally come home from her extended visit to Fang, to find her so far along with babies that she had no idea the dragoness was having. It was like a prank. One full of wholesomeness. Especially since her twin brother Jagan had joined in, and was just as far along as Sisu was, if not more. It may have been easy to hide from the princess at first when she wasn’t showing, but now 4 months after Raya left, Sisu grew out quickly. Until now that is. Sisu knew deep down in her gut that she didn’t have much longer until the birth. Days at most. She’d need to enjoy her time with Raya like this while it still lasted.
Sisu continued to stand at the foot of the bridge entrance and wait. She knew Raya would be here today. After a brief yawn, she stretched her arms up, and lowered them back down to her tan, swollen belly, giving her babies some much needed attention. Every time she felt them moving and wiggling inside filled her with strong, powerful emotions. A reminder of just what she was doing. That what was giving her back aches and her brain mood swings and cravings was in fact the most sacred thing one could do in all of Kumandra. Bring life to it from oneself. Sisu smiled down to her belly, rubbing a hand around it as she spoke gently in her soft, yet raspy voice.
“You excited to meet your godmother too?…oh wow, I guess you are ya little frogs. You’ve been kicking so much lately..”
Sisu’s chat with her unborn babies was cut short by the unmistakeable sound of foliage being pushed aside in front of her. Her heart skipped a beat, and her crooked tooth grin spread over her face. None other than Raya herself rode out into view above her loyal steed, Tuk Tuk. Sisu felt her breath escape for the briefest of moments. She was so happy to see her dear friend again that she immediately waddled down the steps of the bridge and onto the dress, resting her hand on her lower belly as she made her way towards her.
“RAAAYAAAA!!! There’s my girl! My main woman! My sister from another birth giver! How was Namaari? She miss me?…Raya?”
Sisu tilted her head, as she was rather puzzled by Raya’s immediate change in demeanor. Once the princess saw Sisu trudging across the grass, she and Tuk Tuk both dropped their lower jaws. Raya was speechless, and her eyes were locked on the swollen orb attached to Sisu’s midriff. Her puffed out belly button and the thin brown line that formed below. A million thoughts ran through Raya’s head as she finally stammered.
“S-Sisu! I…I’m so glad to see you…but…your belly…it’s..”
Sisu smirked and pushed it out into view, shifting her wait to her ample hips.
“Fat? Humongous? Rotund? Big?? Oh I know. It ain’t just from eating crab and sweet rolls after dark. Come say hello, god-mama!”
As the human dragon spread her arms up, welcoming an potential embrace, Raya blinked twice, her face trying to find a proper expression to convey just how shocked she was at this sudden development. It was all too much for the princess of Heart to bare. In that moment, Raya fell into her back. Sisu looked stunned by her friend fainting like this. Her arms lowers down to cradle her huge baby bump as she waddled over to Raya, looking down at her now sleeping body. A soft sigh left the lips of the dragon, her violet eyes drifting down to her bulging belly.
“You made the toughest gal in all of Kumandra faint just by looking at her. Mama’s so proud already! Alright, rollie boy! Let’s get Miss Trust Issues back home, and snappy! The babies and I are on a time table, and we’re almost at the end.”
The frizzy haired women gestured to Tuk abs began to waddle her way back across the bridge, her hands alternating between her back and belly. She could feel the babies stirring beneath her hands, and she knew exactly what she wanted. A sly look spread across her features before so spoke aloud once more in her recognizably hoarse voice. “I…am…so hungry!”
She winced at a rather sharp kick to her side, under her left hand. “Ow! Okay, okay,! We! We are hungry. Don’t worry. I got it now.,I’m with it! Trust regained!”

I bet Sisu’s siblings will be pretty excited to see more new additional members to their dragon family huh, especially since Sisu ensured that the generations of Dragons and humans will continue without any kind of threat to either of them for years to come after the countless centuries that they had to deal with those mysterious ominous beings known as Druun from the moment when they were held back thanks to her elder brother entrusting her with that dragon gem to the next moment where her human friends/companions made sure they were defeated for good after they truly and completely placed their faith in each other leading up to restoring peace and tranquility to all of their lands!
I have, and it’s very funny you should mention them…you’ll find out later. But anyways, depending on how they have the babies, it would either be a male human having human babies with a female dragon, or a human female having dragon babies with a male dragon (unless they both take a human form, which is way safer than if “done” in dragon form.
