Thanks everyone. This was my first attempt at using water color pencils. They were Aquatone brand I think. In the future, I will not be using water color pencils on hard canvas because the pencil media kept breaking off into chunks. The rough texture of the canvas rapidly eroded my aquatone pencils. >.<; For now on, only use heavy drawing paper or soft duck canvas.
