Id - Monotype Print
This is part of a trio of monotype prints (a print that has no repeatable matrix), that focus on a concept of 'three'. I chose to use the three famous aspects of the psyche, the Id, Ego, and Superego, and use my draconic representation to make it a bit more personal. To the layman, the dragon could be seen as a mental fabrication or other mental concept, seen as a protector or aggressor in the mind.
The Id is most commonly seen as the aspect that holds the greatest amount of impulsivity and emotional nature, easy to anger as well as easy to flare with passion. There is a reflection in the pupil which could be the hand of the opposite Ego, the self, or another person completely in which the Id is attacking.
This was created on an inked piece of plexiglass.
