Superego - Monotype Print
This is part of a trio of monotype prints (a print that has no repeatable matrix), that focus on a concept of 'three'. I chose to use the three famous aspects of the psyche, the Id, Ego, and Superego, and use my draconic representation to make it a bit more personal. To the layman, the dragon could be seen as a mental fabrication or other mental concept, seen as a protector or aggressor in the mind.
The Superego is seen as the aspect that balances out the Ego and Id, and as such I wished to create that sense of balance, along with the symbol of the 'third eye' to indicate the Superego's 'vision over all'.
This was created on an inked piece of plexiglass.
