Ego -Monotype Print
This is part of a trio of monotype prints (a print that has no repeatable matrix), that focus on a concept of 'three'. I chose to use the three famous aspects of the psyche, the Id, Ego, and Superego, and use my draconic representation to make it a bit more personal. To the layman, the dragon could be seen as a mental fabrication or other mental concept, seen as a protector or aggressor in the mind.
The Ego is seen as the aspect most 'self-conscious' of what the rest of the mind is doing, and tends to want to control what is expressed and not expressed. The hand outstretched and the panicked expression can be seen as the Ego in this act of seeking control.
This was created on an inked piece of plexiglass.

And yeah, I can't argue that TheriThere was not an influence, though definitely a subconscious influence! XD It is definitely an effective method to convey the idea of superimposed forms. : )
Thanks very much for the comments!
