"Frau Hildegarde," said Tiffany, shuffling her feet nervously.
"Yes, Tiffany?"
"I've heard witches can turn people into frogs. Is this true?"
A cold smile crossed Frau Hildegarde's face.
"Of course, Tiffany. It can be quite useful, though a bit difficult for beginners. Fortunately, I know an incantation that makes it easier." She turned to her butler. "Roger, would you come here. Tiffany needs help with her lessons."
Roger rolled his eyes and sighed, resigned to what he knew came next. "As you wish, ma'am."

To say that this was a question that Frau Hildegarde had been waiting for was to imply that Hildegarde had the intention of waiting for it. She absolutely did not intend to wait and would teach this to her student at the first opportunity. You see, she had a good idea how a young girl might end up using such magic and this was part of her plan. A small step, to be sure, but necessary to get Tiffany into the position she needed for her ultimate goals. Tiffany just asked for it sooner than Frau expected.
Poor Rogers was just the practice dummy, but don't fee too bad. He was too important in managing Frau's staff to leave as a frog. His experience with amphibianhood was only a brief visit. For Tiffany, however, the experience would leave a more lasting impact, as Frau Hildegarde knew it would.
