The royal residence of Liebwald is abuzz with activity when scholars come to visit the library, messengers dash across the courtyard and craftspeople are taking care of the buildings and garden!
This was a really fun and challenging illustration to work on, arguably one of the most complex sceneries I've drawn yet. I also wanted to check if my newly found technique for incorporating texture works well in daylight scenes, and it actually looks rather nice!
