Commission for
calypte
To reiterate from eh last time:
While the dragon I had been able to hide behind the fact that a community member had first attempted it (and I am simply following suit), these had to be justified in their own right- and simply arranged that they- in depiction- are very similar to already existing crested-birds, and in the case of this image, you see the folded wings on the top hand corners and the talon down below... you might even just think it was a green palette for an eagle.
Never the less, that the animal itself could easily be a combination of local animals, and that has been seen before... say in the case of Ganukadet [Wasco]. So it's not breaching any gap that hasn't been broken before.
They let that one pass, but it was only after these two that the permission stopped. The final 2 images held an ENTIRELY different battle.... but we'll get to those when I post them.
calypte had requested some kind of "flying" pose, and so I approach this one from the profile [as opposed form the other which was portrait], with the wing in full view. XD

While that would be very humbling, I would not do any NWP design for any Tarot Deck. Tarot is not aboriginal culture, and I would not have been able [or willing for that matter] permission to participate from the Elders. These were simply color and shape studies of animals in the style. :)
