Adobe Animate Week 6 Homework
Despite how much I hate Adobe Animate and all of its glitchy bullshit, I put a weird amount of effort into this week's homework assignment, which was parallax effects.
Fortunately it's only a quarter-long class so after next week, no more of this thing and its stupid shape tweens.

I was thinking that I should have put windows on the far buildings and had their opacity increase to being visible as you got closer but, if I was gonna do that, I should have done it to begin with. Had no interest in retroactively windowing all those buildings. See, originally it was just gonna be the car scrolling by, but I held off on submitting it thinking "Might be cool to really dazzle that dork by having a bird fly in over the city and change the perspective...I'll do that later this week if I feel like it." Then I got depressed like I do, and alternating varieties of 'cidal, then earlier today I was like "oh shit, I never turned that thing in and it's due tomorrow." So during wrestling I drew and animated the bird and added in the zoom.
And that's my story about why there are no windows.

Actually my last several assignments have been very ho-hum, as I very openly told the dude that I was gonna be lazier due to having to do both homework and the final project at the same time, and also due to my growing resentment for Adobe. That's why I said it was a weird amount of effort for me. I haven't 'tried' on anything too much since the rocket ship thing. And of course, the rocket thing was the one time he decided we didn't have time to show them off in class so I'm sure that'll end up happening again this week. It's the same in life as it is here - the prouder I am, the more likely it'll be a bust.
But, side note, this is literally the first time I've ever animated a bird in flight so, I guess I'm pretty pleased with how that came out, as minimalist as it is.

I think it looks awesome, too. I wasn't expecting it and the instant it appeared I felt my eyebrows raise. It honestly felt like a flex, especially if the car was all you had to do. But I really do hope it can be shown in the class, just for a hit of that sweet, sweet dopamine.
The way how it's 2D and flies in like 3D plays with my eyes but in an enjoyable way! I also like how it just cuts away as it leaves to the imagination of what the viewer will think will happen next. Will more birds fly in? Are characters going to jump in on screen? (I apologize, I can't help myself. Me and my silly way of thinking)
That's very true! You aren't trying to shove so much in our faces but you aren't putting in too little either. Not to mention that this is done in multiple frames! It has that "Stand up and Stand Out" feel to it. And also tests if people REALLY look at the art too. I like this little hidden test! And I actually love that you showed off a little here too.
Look, you even brought life to the wheels! (I apologize for sounding like a goofy fangirl, but love looking at detail and I always end up coming back to see if I missed anything)
