Skye gasped as the Switch zapped her hands, dropping the console to the floor with a clatter as thunder rumbled outside. Runnels of rain ran over the glass windowpanes, casting a distorted light that played tricks on her eyes as she stared at her growing, sharpening nails. Her sleek black hair billowed out around her as though they had a mind of their own. Black hair with blue highlights faded into mulberry purple and grew sleek and wavy, undulating around her transforming body in a breeze that wasn't there.
Her skirt tore at the back with a rrrrrrip as two ribbonlike tails burst out from her tailbone. They caressed her limbs as light blue fur with dappled white patches sprouted down her arms and legs, and skimmed across her feet with a ticklish feeling as her clawed feet ripped out of her boots. Her palms, fingertips, toes, and arches grew ticklish and sensitive as they puffed up into plush paw pads and flushed a rosy pastel pink. Her eyes crossed as she marveled at the changes happening to her, and looked down at her own elongating nose as her face stretched out into a soft, velvety muzzle. Simultaneously a large blue horn sprouted from her head, its growing weight causing her to stumble to her knees as her balance was thrown off.
The storm outside whipped into a frenzy as she finished transforming. Howling wind blew raindrops in horizontal arcs, and she realized with amazement that she was aware of every one in a way that she never before could have comprehended. She howled, scratching furrows in the hardwood floor as she called out to the storm and willed it to her command. Abruptly, the rain pattered gently to a stop and everything grew quiet. Skye took in a deep breath, holding it for a moment before letting it out, watching the wind and the rain outside match her breathing, and grinned.
