Like I've said before I think the fandom comes from the nostalgia factor many people get with her, for a variety of people in our "group" she was the first slime girl they saw. People get rose tinted glasses towards their nostalgic favorites. For example I have a secret abusive love relationship with the .hack series, despite how much it punishes me for it I can't help but love it .-.

As a late starter into anime I'm not really among those who heart Jellax (god I hate that name, I far prefer her other less easy to spell one), I suppose Inque is probably my equivalent, since it's completely her existance's fault I began to put my like of goop together with the idea of a woman being made of it.
