Ah the Rebel Destroyer, Elegant, more defense's than the Carrier, sporting two MAC's and a 'Mini MAC' that fires a small shell that detotnates causing an EMP blast upon contact with the target and vastly fewer hangars than the Carrier but still utilizes fighter crafts.
I actually had the turrets designed long before i began working on the Carrier, Destoryer, and Missile Boats and didn't start using them on the crafts until i began working on the Destroyer. The Turrets themselves have a full 90 degree's that they can use to look up and a full 360 degree's that they can swivel on to track targets. Like the Rebel Carrier, the Destroyer has a 2-tier bridge and a semi-hidden hangar/bay that houses cargo ships, shuttles, and crafts belonging to crew members.
I have re-thought the size of the hangars, after having Played Halo: Combat Evolved I realized 'a hangar can house more than just a single fighter craft, it can house easily a half dozen and the munitions and parts to keep the crafts for that hangar in top shape.' So i began rethinking that each Hangar can carry atleast 3 to 4 fighter Crafts (Jericho Jets) and the supplies required to keep them operational. Also beginging to think about ships for the mech units, have to have something big enough to carry and deploy large quantities of them.
So possibly expect a Mech Carrier in the future at some point.
Nothing else i think i can point out.

The term would be Rampant, but that's 7 years by halo terms which i'm using the 'smart' AI's from halo as a bit of a basis.
But smart AI's are also made using an actual brain. So a human will die in the production of a smart AI, however flash clones of brains can be used in place. But in the little universe i'm working on cloning is still imperfect and outright banned still.
So only those truely dedicated to their respective cause, or the brains of fallen comrades, are used in the making of smart AI's.

using halo AI terminology and explination to explain 'smart' AI's in the universe i'm working on.
So yes. a True smart AI would be made using an actual brain from either a willing subject and the AI only represent them in form but not retain any memories from their previous life or clone a brain in secret and create an AI that way. But that applies to the human race, the alien race, the Nex, are mechanized but require a presence that they consider their spirit to function.
The Nex are later on found out to be HIGHLY advanced AI that can function, and duplicate themselves without the need of a human, but each AI is shed from the Mother AI, the queen so to speak. The Nex can only survive inside their mechanized bodies but can exit thier body and inhabit anything that has an advanced enough computer or something close to it but only do so for as long as a few days if its human technology they inhabit. Their mechanized suits and vehicles can be inhabited by the Nex without needing to leave them after a certain period of time. Though most Nex only enter thier vehicles system for however long a battle runs then return to their mechanized suit stored inside the vehicle after the battle is over.
Heh, quite wordy this morning.

I like to think of the nex as a combination of the Drej from Titan A.E., Elites from the halo series since the legs of the majority of the armors has that reverse joint set up, and a robotic race.
As for their weapons, they'd use things similiar to the humans, such as solid round munitions for soldiers but use beam weaponry on their vehicles.
