Yeah... wow this is old. We're talking circa 1996. Snic is another of the characters from my Dragonsmoke world. He's honestly one of my more out there ones when he's in the thick of it.
I mentioned an AI computer system in the history text submission comments I made that's from the setting. Snic is bonded, if you will, to that system. Has been since he was 16. He's 22 at the beginning of the storyline and 21 in the Vix's tale submission I made right before this.
His blood is teaming with nanomachines that maintain his health, augment his natural funtions and strength, hence his big honkin blade there, and act as a point of contact between him and what's left of a satelite system the computer is in contact with. When you have an inteligence that went several millenia alone and cracked in your head with you, it can make you seem a little crazy.
