On Friday, I purchased this secondhand Seiko World Time Voice Alarm clock - model number QEK105K - for just under $16. It features 20 selectable time zones by city name, an alarm, and most importantly, an early speech synthesizer that reads the current time in whichever time zone you select. This particular clock was made in Japan, in either 1988 or 1989.
I plan to upload a collection of sound samples of the clock, at a later date.
Definitely a lovely example of 1980s electronic desk decor. :3
