Surprise Post for this Monster Monday is non other than Fireman the title Tokusatsu hero of the Fireman TV series. Generally, I would not make the pic of the Hero, as the Monster Roster is - well - for Monsters, with the Hero(es) been drawn every once in a while, my shtick around this is called Monster Mondays after all, but I completed the entire Fireman Kaiju roster last week and not one had Fireman in it, so for this once, decided to draw the Hero in his solo pic, plus the SAF vehicles; from top to bottom: MarineGon, MarineBuru, Mogurian , MarineSub & Marine Car.
Fireman walks the Earth under the disguise a young Archeologist and later Scientific Attack Force member Daisuke Misaki; he originates from the subterranean Land of Alban (or Aban), who become the holder of the power of Fireman to protect the Earth and its inhabitants from all sorts of threats – be Monster, environmental, man made or from Outer Space. Handed the Fire Stick by the elder of Alban, by lifting and Shouting "Big Fire" activates the transformation into the Giant Hero Fireman. This process is achieved thanks to the technological advancements of their free pollution society, having discover Magma Energy after the entire Civilization moved Underground to avoid an Asteroid Impact 12,000 years ago, progressing without the World above knowing of their existence.
Misaki and the youth of Alban are described as possessing superior intellect and physical prowess, that allows them to become Super human, who vowed to protect the world from any crisis that presents.
Fireman shares one similarity to Tsuburaya's much well known property Ultraman (beside the general color schemes of the heroes) Fireman has a time limit span of 3 Minutes to fight before his power begins to run out; Unlike the Ultras however, where they are – if not most – aliens that come from the Land of Light and depend on the Sun for energy, as well, in some cases, Human host bodies to walk the Earth, Misaki is a (and by extension all those of Alban are) Human from Earth and the Sun weakens him in the Fireman form.
Fireman possess a variant of combat moves, these are as followed:
Special Techniques
Fire Flash: often use as a finish attack move, Fireman launches a destructive large Fire Ball to an enemy – effective as a decapitation move. While generally often seen flying straight, in his battle with the Virenus it change direction and broke straight into the ground killing the Giant Alien as he took cover from it. In its battle with Harmonigan, the Monster absorb it.
Cross Fire: Fireman releases Electric Rays from its hands, used only in Episode 4.
Shuriken Attack: Flaming Shots via underhand pitch, it was used to blind Kumagorus.
Fire Spark: An attack similar to Fire Flash, but it runs through the enemies' body, destroying it.
Magma Beam: a Beam fired from the color signal in the forehead.
Eyebeam: Laser beams fired from Fireman Eyes; it was used to take out the Sulphers' Spaceship during his battle with King Zaura.
Fire Shots: these are smaller Fire ball projectiles – it was first used against Gadorasaurus.
Fire Breath: only seen against Black Satan, Fireman crosses his arms and fires an energy beam from the bracelets. (Why is it called Breath when the attack move comes from the Bracelets? LMAO IDK)
Physicals:
Fire Dash: Fireman becomes an entity of fire and runs straight to an enemy, going into it and then engulfing its target with fire, destroying it from with in. It was first used against King Zaura after the Elder of Alban sacrifices himself to give his life energy to revive Misaki, allowing him to unlock the new attack style; it becomes the 2nd most used finish attack move in the series, but can drain Fireman's power levels down. Despite its destructive nature, the Fire Dash was seen restoring the Gust Kaiju Gagango into the Pet Dog Shirobe.
Fire Kick: a high jump attack, often for tackle to surprise or incapacitate the enemy of a weapon; effective against horned monsters whose main weapon is located in their horns.
Fire Jump: meant to leap higher than Fire Kick, often for take off, though it was called by name in the Final battle with Object X.
Sliding Attack: Fireman Slides under Monsters to trip them.
Palm Attack: this is Fireman Basic hand combat moves, though powerful enough to make an enemy to back off.
Fire-Head Lock: Quite similar to the Head Lock wrestling moves, Fireman grabs an enemy by the neck with a head lock and spin quick to toss the monsters away.
Other Moves:
Fire Burning: seen only once in his battle with Green Giller, Fireman unleashes a fire over his body that burnt away all the Poison the Kaiju injected into him.
Fire Stop: Used against Spacer, it stops the Monsters in a Frozen position. Seems to be a variant of Freeze Wave - it uses a Blue and White beam, were as Freeze Wave is Red in color.
Freeze wave (also called Firestar): A variant of Fire Stop, it helps Fireman freeze an enemy in place - used only against Object X in the final Episode, however, this move uses a Red color energy wave, where as Fire Stop is blue with white.
Teleportation: First seen in Ep.6, Fireman uses it to teleport to the living planet of Gomerus to rescue Chiba and Mizuchima. Later Misaki uses it to return to the surface after been revive in Alban; it may have been the way how he came to the surface in the first place.
Fire Gravity: Seen only once to help MukuMuku, Fireman was able to restored the Koala-like Alien back to its original size by emulating the Gravity of his home world around him, so he could fit into his spaceship and return to its home planet.
Healing Beam: Seen only to help Emusa and Bemutan, Fireman was able to heal as well restored the powers of the stranded Alien Child when its first merging with the Lizard Bemutan robbed him of the ability to return home after fighting Devilsaurus. By giving some of its Energy, Fireman was able to restored their Powers which allowed Emusa and Bemutan to merge again and return home.
Weapons (seen once)
Fire Knife: seen only once against Green Giller, Fireman summons a sharp sword.
Fire Jack: a type of piercing lance, only used against Spegz.
