I have a fair amount of trouble coming up with good poses for photographs, not really being the mascot-style 'Take a photo! I'm cute!' type. Still, I'm working on it.
I've had some help finding good poses and this, I think, is one of my better ones. My friend Ziggy Darkglow was invaluable to me in finding both this pose and in figuring out the proper sight-line for my lion: I have to look slightly down in order for the lion's eyes to be directly toward the camera. Now if I could just get that chin fluff to stay put where I want it... ;)

I swear, you could just do a compilation of kung fu stances and poses and make a book out of it. (Well I'D buy it...) you're like.... extremely photogenic. Just go to China, find a Shaolin Temple, and you could have an entire gallery just from that right there.

I'd say it's as much true good luck as anything else. Though I fully admit that we are our own wost critics. That's anybody, not just furries or us as suiters. To get everything right is sooo hard. We're always harder on ourselves than anyone else.
As you say with your chin fluff there, even though it is a great, great pic, that bothers you as I think it should. Perfection be be elusive, but it's always wanted. "So close, so close."
