Sarapi angels are majestic, though at the same time rather bewildering and terrifying in appearance so I think you'd have to be brave to look them in the eye.
Though they'd certainly fit in with biblical descriptions of angels, given those can be a lot more bizarre than just beautiful winged humans.

It depends mainly on the faith, mostly determined by region, those who believe in the Yahalan the goddess with Sarapi servants like them and believe they protect them from seen and unseen danger. They don't actually show in person in the story, we don't know if they exist or not, like with most supernatural things.
