My reputation precedes me in this land, it seems. Barely after I had arrived, I'm already getting challenged to a spar by someone who's apparently heard of my exploits - a human merc by the name of Nordstrom. I...may have initially taken this as another arrogant hothead looking for a quick way to carve a reputation out for himself. But this human actually turned out to be a pretty cool fellow, looking mostly to improve his own skills by matching them against a known hero. I could offer him a few pointers, yes, but it soon became clear he really knew his stuff. He was swift, nimble, fluid, seemingly always able to read my moves and adapt on a dime. Meanwhile, my 'unbreakable' defence was pushed to the limit; my shield turning his blade away as I go in swinging, my endurance wearing thin but still holding!

The shield and straight sword is a reliable and powerful combination
From a tactical side and defensive capabilities they are more reliable than such a weird combo as axe and sword
Plus judging by the fact how much Arix was in fights and adventures his endurance has a big limit and it is a big advantage
Don't like to make a bets but 60 percent on Arix and 40 on Nord
But in the end I think they shall drink some beer together. I can say they can tell to each other many stories and talk about many things. Warrior souls always find some ways to get along with each other

Yes, it is odd to have an sword, and pickaxe combo, but his style of fighting is adaptability, endurance, and striking where it counts. A shield offers great defense and offensive capabilities, but Nordy is human, and a skilled marshal warrior, and a dragon such as Arix, Nordy needs to have a flexible defense.
But in the end no matter the outcome, I think they will have a grand time talking about it over a pint ^^

Betting 25,000 gil on Arix0 winning. Humans are... well rounded... but other species have traits that just blow humans outta the water in every regard.

And skyrim taught me that; if you wanna really succeed? Go argonian to get places, go khajiit to see sh*t. And Argonian even has like 4 racial benefits. %50 disease, %50 poison resistance, Claws (Do More Damage Unarmed) which WRECKS people in brawls for 100 gold, and Underwater Breathing.
