So Quinn and Qamar, alongside their still unnamed naga best friends, are on their way to enjoy some much needed R&R on base, while supporting their favorite home teams back on Earth. (Like myself and my love of sports,) The four of them grew up as sports fans, watching the Yorktown Revolution (MLS), Tidewaters (MLB), Norfolk Admirals (NFL), and other Major League teams play whenever they could.
Now, it’s pretty clear that you can’t play a sport traditionally and internationally called “football” if you have no feet. That may be true, hence why traditionally among their kind sports like baseball and basketball are king. But naga have found a way to adapt to soccer, forgetting the whole running part in favor of a type of penalty shootout, using their impressively powerful tails to “kick” the ball.
That being said, their friends still prefer to just play a good round of one on one (two on two?) baseball, particularly in the much lower gravity at the Mars Colony where the balls just go flying!
As an aside, this is definitely not the first time the Revolution have come up for me, being seen here last year: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44358971/
I take no effort to hide the fact that I’m a Revolution fan, and was actually wearing this jersey today in support of them in their last game of the season (which thankfully they won 2-1 against Atlanta, still being eliminated from the playoffs though).
I did however make the decision to relocate them to Yorktown, Virginia for my world, replacing them with the New England Minutemen, due to their better fit down in the mega city that is Yorktown.
