actually... lex luthor has a pretty good record of success for a villain of a non-grim superhero. he has defeated multiple other villains, on many occasions, became president of the united states, and in one alternate reality tale defeated superman with just a well written note. But the crown jewel in his crown of success; blowing up new krypton, and killing thousands, maybe millions, of kryptonians with the powers of superman. he may not defeat superman often, but he still annihilated a civilization of super-people.
(bonus points- tricked supergirl into unwittingly helping him destroy her own people)
(bonus bonus points- may not be a villain at all, depending on your point of view)

in some stories He's proud to be bald, in others it's supermans fault that he's bald.
superman often thinks his way out of Luthor's plots, so nerds, like me, like him because he's just as smart, as he is strong.
As long as i don't go against a big blue boy scout mech i should be fine :)

If superman killed people, then he would be no better then the secret police of a totalitarian state. Superman is such a great hero, because he doesn't compromise his morals, same as batman, or most other superheroes.
