So I'm doing this again! Throughout the whole month of October, I will (hopefully) be posting one new pic a day as part of an art challenge!
Today's theme was Gargoyle!
Gargoyles in my toon setting serve pretty much the same purpose as they do in real life, protecting buildings (particularly churches) from evil spirits. Unlike real life though, gargoyles are fully animate, and they take their duties very seriously. As I was drawing this one, I decided that she had become the guardian of two of my other characters, Sid and Sammy, at some point.

I didn't realize that this pose was already associated with something else? Sid and Sammy are getting into trouble offscreen and their guardian isn't used to dealing with people in general, much less a couple of kids getting up to mischief. A consequence of spending most of their life up to now perched on a steeple growling at evil spirits.
