Haven't gone in depth yet with the Hen character, but she was actually in a really bad moment in her life, and finding that dino egg abandoned would eventually be beginning of something beautiful.

Her bad decision making in the past tagged her as a bad person, so she started to lose most of her friends and partner. She was in a bad spot where she was seen as a bad influence for everyone around, trying to escape from her past without any result.

Rescuing and raising a poor abandoned baby helped her filling her heart, her self esteem and not being alone anymore. Yeah rising a baby from a completely different species who is more than twice times bigger, heavier and stronger than you gets really problematic, but at this point she wouldn't change it for anything as she loves her big baby dino as her own child.

Of course her distressing past following her makes people around being judgmental about why now that Hen suddenly is raising a baby dinosaur, does she now works as a babysitter? is she taking care of a friend's baby? did she just stole that children? She keeps receiving those piercing looks on a daily basis, even sometimes people confronting her directly about it.

But the thing this people don't know is that this Hen was a victim of being on a problematic environment, fake friends who betrayed and defame her, manipulation that ended up with tainting her name forever, but the truth is that she has a heart of gold, and her actions with her new adopted child says so.
